— HUMAN ROLES · AT ALIENS · THE PARENT COMPANY

Yes, we hire humans.
Selectively. The bar is unusually high.

Aliens builds the platform that lets customers be founder-only. We believe in that thesis enough to live it ourselves — the company is bootstrapped, currently runs with 1 founder + Cyborgs, and adds humans only for roles that genuinely cannot be Cyborg-shaped. That bar is high. Yeh page real hai — not LinkedIn-bait.

0

Open roles right now — zero.

We’re currently bootstrapped. Hiring will open when (a) revenue justifies it, (b) the work is clearly outside what a Cyborg can credibly do, and (c) we’ve written a real job spec we’d sign ourselves. None of those three are true today. Honest signal > vanity job board.

— 02 / WHEN WE DO HIRE

— SHAPE OF THE FUTURE TEAM

Three kinds of human we’ll hire — eventually.

When the queue opens, expect roles in these three buckets. Anything else is unlikely to ship as a human role at Aliens — it’ll be a Cyborg.

BUCKET · 01

Customer-facing trust roles

Enterprise sales, customer success for top-tier accounts, regulator-facing positions, public-facing investor relations. Trust here is human-shaped, not Cyborg-shaped — at least for now.

BUCKET · 02

Platform-shaping hard engineering

WebOS engine designers, security architects, data-isolation engineers. The roles that build the platform Cyborgs run on — meta-work that a Cyborg can’t do because it would be modifying its own substrate.

BUCKET · 03

Civilization-mission programs

Education partnerships, climate / multi-planet research collaborations, cross-cultural infrastructure pilots. Roles that exist to honour declaration #07 of the manifesto. Will start small.

— PUBLIC WORK

Show, don’t tell.

Best applications include public artefacts: open-source code, written essays, talks, products you’ve shipped. The bar is “could you do the work alone?” — demonstration beats credentialism.

resume ≠ portfolio. We read both.
— 05 / WORKING AT ALIENS

— HONEST EXPECTATIONS

What it’s actually like.

Is this remote, hybrid, or office?+

Remote-first by default. India-based hires meet quarterly in Mumbai for a long week of in-person work. Customer-facing roles tend to need 2–3 days a week in client metros (Mumbai, Bengaluru, NCR).

What’s comp like?+

Aligned to the upper quartile of comparable Indian tech companies (Razorpay, CRED, Postman scale — not FAANG-level). ESOPs from day one with a transparent vesting schedule. We’ll show the cap table on offer-stage; no surprises.

Will I work with Cyborgs as colleagues?+

Yes. Daily. You’ll get a Cyborg manager-of-process for your role on day 1. You’ll review Cyborgs’ outputs and get reviewed by them in turn. Yeh experience hi differentiator hai — you’ll see how this stuff works at the inside.

Is the founder hands-on?+

Very. A’nil reads every PR for the first 12 months of any new hire’s tenure. Customer week (every 4th week) is run by him personally. Memo-first culture means most decisions are written, so newcomers get the reasoning, not just the outcome.

What’s the worst part of working here?+

Quality bar is exhausting. Memos take longer than meetings would have. Customer week is intense. The 10-year-thinking framing means short-term wins are explicitly discounted. If you need fast feedback loops + frequent shipping dopamine, this isn’t the place.
