How we got here.

No origin myth. No "started in a garage." Just four honest chapters that explain why a small studio in India is building digital employees instead of another SaaS dashboard.

  1. 2018
    chapter 01

    Aliens started as a frustration.

    A’nil was running a small dev consultancy. Same problem repeated: clients wanted software, but every tool they bought was leaky, locked-in, or built for someone else's company. So Aliens started building WebOS — an opinionated platform where the OS, SDK, brand and apps are all consistent.

    Goal at the time: ship 10 internal apps faster than anyone else could ship 1.

  2. 2020
    chapter 02

    Pandemic + the realisation.

    2020-21 me hum 100% remote ho gaye. Hamari team grew from 3 → 9. Clients tripled. But the bottleneck wasn't tooling anymore — it was people. Hiring engineers, designers, accountants took 3+ months per role. Onboarding took another 2.

    That's when the question started: “Why are we still trying to hire faster instead of cloning the people who already work?” The seed of A’nil Cyborg was planted, but we ignored it — too early, models too weak.

  3. 2023
    chapter 03

    Models caught up. We started experimenting.

    By late 2023 the frontier models were capable enough to actually do structured work, not just chat. We built our first internal Cyborg — a “Software Engineer” trained on our own Aliens codebase. It opened its first PR on Nov 14, 2023. We merged it after one round of review.

    That single PR changed the company. We spent 2024 + 2025 quietly shipping internal Cyborgs across every Aliens role — engineering, design, support, accounts. By Q4 2025 our 12 humans were running like a 60-person company.

  4. 2026
    chapter 04

    We opened it up.

    April 9, 2026 — v0.1.0 went live in private beta. 7 design partners signed in the first month. Not because we marketed it — because the people who saw the internal demo wouldn’t stop asking for access.

    This page exists because that demand is still growing. Cohort 01 has 18 seats left.

What we refuse to compromise on.

Yeh values poster pe likhne ke liye nahi hain. Yeh decisions hain jo hum daily lete hain — kya kaam karna hai, kya nahi, kis customer ko ‘no’ bolna hai, kis hire ko ‘no’ bolna hai.

Quality > speed. Always.

Hum date miss karte hain, quality nahi. Agar kuch ship karna hai aur woh 80% ready hai — hum nahi shipte. Yeh 7 saal ka habit hai. Customers iska faida lete hain har release me.

Honesty over hype.

Logo wall jhutha nahi lagayenge. Performance numbers exaggerate nahi karenge. Customer 100 hain to 100 hi bolenge, 10,000 nahi. Page ka content embarrassingly honest rakhte hain — yehi hamari moat hai.

Humans first, AI second.

Cyborg ka kaam human ko replace karna nahi, free karna hai. Har Cyborg ke piche human owner mandatory hai. Hum kabhi bhi “fire your team” pitch nahi denge. Read the mission.

One Cyborg, one machine, one customer.

Multi-tenancy is convenient for us, dangerous for you. Hamara architecture isolation-first hai. Yeh 30% mehnga hai run karne me. Hum khushi se pay karte hain — read why.

Bootstrap. No outside money.

Aliens 7 saal se profitable hai, 0 investors. Iska matlab hum customer ke liye optimize karte hain, board meeting ke liye nahi. Roadmap quarterly board pressure se nahi banti.

Build for 10 years, not 10 quarters.

Har architecture decision long-term lens se: WebOS, SDK, audit log, compliance — sab 10-year-proof. Short-term band-aids forbidden hain. Yeh BEM10Y principle (Build to Endure for Minimum 10 Years) hum andar use karte hain.
