03Scopes + setup.

  • Per-user OAuth (small teams): each user runs through an OAuth consent screen for the role-needed scopes (Gmail.modify, Drive.file, Calendar.events, etc.).
  • Domain-Wide Delegation (enterprise): Workspace admin grants the Cyborg service account access to act on behalf of users in specific OUs. Scoped via the OAuth client’s authorised scopes list.
  • Vault retention + DLP policies are honoured. Cyborg cannot exfiltrate documents your DLP rules block.

04Setup · 10 minutes.

  • Step 01 · In Google Admin: Security · API controls · Domain-Wide Delegation; add the Cyborg service account’s client ID.
  • Step 02 · Authorise specific OAuth scopes (the dashboard shows recommended minimums per role).
  • Step 03 · In Cyborg dashboard, paste service account email · pick OUs · pick which Gmail labels / Drive folders the Cyborg should access.
  • Step 04 · Cyborg starts within a minute.

05FAQ.

Vault audit visibility?+

All Cyborg actions show up in Workspace Vault audit log under the Cyborg service account’s identity. Combined with our own audit log: dual record.

Apps Script + Add-ons?+

Cyborg uses standard REST APIs. Apps Script integration (Cyborg invoked from a Sheet via custom function) is on roadmap (v0.3.x).

Personal gmail.com accounts?+

Workspace (paid, custom domain) supported. Personal gmail.com is not in scope at the same security tier — we strongly prefer Workspace for the vault / DLP / audit story.
